Maggie McCann is a criminal defence lawyer practicing in association with Lyttle McGarry Del Greco LLP.
Originally from Ottawa, Maggie studied at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for both her Bachelor of Science with a major in Neuroscience, and law school at the Schulich School of Law. She earned her JD with a certificate in criminal justice in 2021. She then moved back to Ottawa to begin a career in criminal defense law. She articled at Bayne Sellar Ertel Carter, before joining Lyttle McGarry Del Greco LLP in 2022.
Maggie has been passionate about criminal law for as long as she can remember. She was raised by two successful criminal lawyers in a home where criminal justice issues were discussed nightly at the dinner table. Since joining the profession, Maggie's devotion to criminal defence has only grown.
Maggie has developed a busy practice since joining Lyttle McGarry Del Greco LLP. She has carriage of files in a wide range of areas including assault, sexual assault, theft/fraud, firearms, drug/weapon possession and trafficking, impaired driving (by alcohol and by drug) offences and many others. She has also worked with senior counsel on major criminal files, including homicide and sexual assault. Maggie accepts clients both through legal aid and private retainers.
Outside of her legal practice, Maggie spends most of her time with her dogs and her family. She enjoys hiking, dog training, fiber arts and gardening
